Arisaig is situated on the west side of Edinburgh,
3 miles from the city centre and 2 miles from the airport.

There is a very frequent, user-friendly bus service only 200 metres from our home. Thanks to 'bus lanes' this can transport you to Edinburgh city centre in 10-12 minutes.
You can leave your car parked in our driveway.

We are less than 600 metres from the City Bypass, which allows immediate access to all roads south of Edinburgh and also the M8, M9 and A90.

For touring, it is just a 30-minute drive to the Scottish Borders.
Callendar, the Trossachs, Glasgow, Stirling and Perth are all within a 40-minute radius.

Edinburgh is among the most visually exciting cities in the world. Its New Town is a treasure trove of neo-classical architecture, contrasting the Old Town with Edinburgh Castle high on the rock and the Royal Mile leading to Holyrood Palace.

Cultural life in Edinburgh peaks at Festival time each August. The official festival, the Fringe, the Book Festival and Film Festival bring together artists of international reputation.

For golfers, there are 42 courses within a 10-mile radius of Edinburgh. Rounds of golf can be organised at The Royal Burgess, Dalmahoy and other distinguished courses.
